I bought Final Fantasy VIII Remastered in the Steam sale, applied some mods to fix the myopic pre-rendered backgrounds, transferred the mods to Steam Deck, and the results are so wonderful, I wanna cry. Honestly can't believe they called it "Remastered" & shipped it with that blurry mess.

I've installed a Flippy Drive and ethernet on my GameCube! It's neat. I haven't gotten the ethernet to work at all, although. I think more firmware updates are needed. Installing it was tricky, but at least it didn't require any soldering. Just lots of patience and finicky screws/ribbon cables.

Breath of Fire III holds a special place in my heart. It's not my favorite, but I get why it's the fan favorite (hence making it the most "overrated" BoF...I use that term loosely and nigh-jokingly). I'm glad that opinons about its delightfully jazzy soundtrack have reversed since its release.
