The main decoration on the wall of the tourist hotel in Tunisia where I’m staying is this charmingly amateurish comic strip, of which I thoroughly approve, even if the moral of the story is somewhat dubious. I hope the other 150-odd rooms have similar strips on the wall. They would make a fine book.

Second half has just started in the Everton City game, and my dog woke up to start growling at the TV when that Everton song started playing before kick off. No idea why, it sounds quite jolly. Does it contain dog bark sound effects or cat meows or something?

Akira is still a bit good, innit? Just watched it on the big screen and loved every second. The soundtrack is astonishing. Only the second time I’ve seen it at the cinema since I first went to see it, based on this flyer I picked, up 35 years ago. I was so impressed I kept the flyer.
