Team Cherry made a wonderful piece of art that i feel everyone should be able to experience! but that's really difficult to do so when the art is repeatedly kicking your teeth in. i'll always be an advocate for including easy modes in games, there's literally no harm in it.

This riptide I had something far more valuable happen than any win, I got to meet with an old friend and finally meet him in person without even knowing he'd be there. This dude is the GOAT and I'm glad he'll be playing splatoon here soon after Riptide. (That's me on the left, him on the right btw)

I cannot stress it enough. If you have the means to go to a lan, GO! You meet so many people, and you're able to engage with the greater community in a way that is otherwise impossible #compsplatoon

We had a day of Riptide matches against friends we've met through @metroink.bsky.social! Great way to close it out, going 2-1 in our Silver Pools sets, which means we're done for the weekend. GGs all, and thanks to Sasu for emergency subbing for us when Merci fell ill

Day 2 of Riptide done, went overall 2-3 in matches but had a lot of fun with DRN + Apisto (btw he emergency subbed, absolute GOAT for that) Lots of close maps and sets as well for the harder opponents we faced. I've also decided I will make a full return to comp Splatoon as well. 1/2

scep took up the mantle of being a public figure taking action to make the community safer. and you know what happened to them? they got doxxed. they get attacked for any mistake. it’s a proven fact that we can’t keep functioning without splat safety. it’s not sustainable. it’s hurting good people.

The only thing I will say: I could not do what TOs do for Splatoon. Volunteering your own time with the risk of being harassed and/or discriminated against is mind boggling to me. I don’t know how they do it but when they do leave, as we have seen many great people leave, I understand why.

The desire to quit is stronger than ever rn, the more time I spend around this community the less I think you guys deserve
