It’s interesting to see how the responses today have been framed, whether it’s focusing on a player’s exceptional talent, or that if they were assigned female at birth. No one in this league should be subject to transphobic hate because transphobia is based on hateful rhetoric and trash science.

I understand that the NWSL is trying to defend their best player, but this framing creates and reveals the reality that Black women have to be literally the most ELITE OF THE ELITE to "earn" minimal protection, while mediocre/terrible white women enjoy the protection of systemic silence

Even if she wasn't a top player, she deserves respect and dignity. Please note, there are no trans women in the league. They won't stop at Black players. They want to see women's sports destroyed. So speak up. Put a policy in place that protects women (including trans women).

That is moving from 8% per-game attendance growth in 2024, to **20%** per-game growth in 2025, which is a great sign in a landscape where a number of NWSL teams showed stagnant or declining attendance. If they grow by 20% again, they will be basically selling out every game.
