What I personally find more remarkable is the wide range of quotes about Sellner from "mainstream" media featured on the institute's website. Again goes to show how media reporting on figures like him can serve as a mainstreaming and legitimisation device.

In most advanced democracies, newer generations and younger citizens are less likely to vote. In this new paper, Thomas Jocker (@uva.nl) and I ask *why* this is the case. We try to answer this question by analyzing the answers that *non-voters themselves* give to this question 👇

We need more intersectional approaches to the study of the far right. And with that, I mean not just for the far right itself but also the actors supporting, bolstering, normalising, mainstreaming it.
