Thinking about MAGIC (1978). You'd be forgiven if you assumed this was a Child's Play style killer doll movie. Instead, what you get is a masterclass in disturbed psychological horror, with a layered and strangely sympathetic performance from Anthony Hopkins. Really amazing, genuinely distressing.
