Universities are engines of economic mobility, and guide young people into stable career tracks. University-supported research and innovation fuels the economy. Universities are the backbone of our society, and harming them will cause damage to every town, every household, every person in America.

Take a moment to tell someone how and why you appreciate them. You will both feel better. (Thank you to the doctoral student who just asked me to reflect on my accomplishments and support for others at the end of the year. It meant a lot during a challenging time. )
