THE REACH (1999) Acrylic on Canvas - 48" x 30" Almost a Lumen painting, in which figures are trying to work their way out of enclosed spaces and get into the light. I used a model for this one and it was quite difficult for her to take this pose and hold it long enough to capture the gesture. 1/2

i think half of "talent" is just a person happening to have fun doing whatever it is they're supposedly talented at, and not hating it. i was "talented" at art at age 3 but if i'd stopped drawing at age 3 because i found it tedious or unrewarding, i'd probably pretty much draw like a 3-year-old now

I mean, my music collection in the 80s was 90% tapes recorded off of Ezra Chowaiki's collection of UK 12 inches. When I got my first job and had money of my own, I bought on CD everything I ever made a mix tape of. That's the deal, isn't it: When you have the money, you support the artists. Simple.

You have to think someone likes your art when they put it on their body permanently. All the way over in St. Petersburg, Russia! That was a highlight moment, for sure.
