Fuck it, Shanahan tree as Milks- Heavy Cream- Mike Shanahan. The original. Still good to this day. Inspired many. Some skim it, some transform it. Purest form.

Circling back here—Seattle didn’t play a single snap in base. All nickel/dime vs SF’s 21 personnel, and they held CMC to under 3 yds a pop. Just a perfectly built defense for modern football.

Hard to find any weakness in Seattle when they can run the ball like this. A wagon. That defense is simply a marvel.

That's a Coach of the Year performance. Mike MacDonald won 14 games vs. tough schedule. His defense is No. 1 and so well schemed. Preseason expectations (in expected wins) was same as Chicago, NE. Checks every box!

You know if the 49ers wins this game they get to play the whole playoffs at home. Because they're hosting the Superbowl.

This is it really. The Seahawks defense feels like the pinnacle of what modern defense can be, lot of fun schematic and coaching tweaks. This is no shot against Demeco or Matt Burke, but the Texans roll the ball out there, line up and rip your head off on every play

This Seattle defensive performance makes me feel really good about having them first in DVOA, at least until whatever horrifying things the Texans do to Riley Leonard tomorrow.
