There's a lot of bad right now and certainly a lot of difficult. Overwhelming to take in, really, even though we must. But in the classroom? There is so much good. Kids are good. So, so good.

I said goodbye to one of my favourite ever colleagues on their last day today. Just a profoundly great person to work with, who I’d never have got to know if we hadn’t worked together. And I’m so glad we did, but urgh we do not talk enough about the grief of losing a very good colleague!!
