Colorado Building Fun Fact #2 - current building code in the greater Colorado Springs area does not permit construction of wood burning fireplaces - only gas or electric. What-the-hell - I wanted a big, pig roasting sized stone fireplace where i can burn pinon and oak, only to be told 'not possible'

Fun Fact - 2025 building standards in colorado require that home attics be sealed - that's right, no access to the attic without cutting drywall. Apparently, there is no good reason to have necessity to enter an attic, or attempt to store stuff in the attic. Makes sense, but a bitch to inspect.
