Tuna Hake's Underwater is a Y2K shitpost/fever-dream that also plays great. Which is really shouldn't, given that it's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with fish. It's short, simple and not especially serious in its scoring, but it's very hard not to grin through every moment of it. The energy's infectious.

At under 40 reviews, I'm just going to assume nobody got the memo that the developers of 'rhythm violence' game Thumper released a followup - Thrasher. Same psychedelic chrome nightmare and score-chasing but with very different gameplay. As with Thumper it's playable in VR as well and looks WILD.

Blood Facsimilie is only a few weeks old, but it stil deserves more than 50 reviews. A lightweight immersive sim inspired by Cruelty Squad, but with its own vibe. You're a contestant in a virtual murder-gameshow set in fragmented liminal spaces, with a big focus on collectathon-esque exploration.

BrebeMan looks weird, sounds great and plays better. A weird third-person shmup about a breakbeat-powered musical hero. I love the weird photo-collage aesthetic, and doubly love how (like Rez), even if it's not a rhythm game, everything happens to the beat, making your shots part of the soundtrack.

I keep posting Queen of Treasure Isle but it still remains bafflingly under 100, despite being one of the smartest, most charming metroidvanias around. By Yume Nikki fan-animator Gobou, this one is FULL of alternate routes, sequence breaks & secrets. It'll take many NG+ loops to explore everything.
