Okay folks, because this happens every year: 1. The Met Gala funds the Costume Institute which does not receive any of the money the Met Museum gets from tickets or money from the general donation pool to the Met.

6. It’s actually okay that people turn this on and watch it as while the purpose of the event is poorly explained every year it remarkably does introduce people to the idea that clothing is art and matters.
