Some highlights from yesterday's visit to Hellens Manor, which involved a house tour, followed by a while exploring the gloriously sunny gardens. The manor has medieval origins, but the current building is mostly a mix of Tudor, Jacobean and Georgian architecture. #history

For #MedievalMonday, a few photos of the incredible stained glass at St Michael and All Angels, Eaton Bishop. The glass (probably made in France) dates from 1320-40, though was repositioned in the mid-C19. Scenes include the crucifixion; St Michael weighing souls; and the Virgin and Child. #CofE

I love our Stations of the Cross at St Wilfrid's, carved by a local craftsman and finished by his apprentice after his death. Every time I look at them I notice something different. Today it was the facial expressions of the soldiers nailing Jesus to the cross, and the hammer poised to strike.
