About a month ago a childhood friend shared a Facebook post from a park we used to go to and I Liked it. I keep getting posts about Hotham Park now. She died a week after sharing the post and it's actually quite a nice way to remember her.

Does anyone have any thoughts about what the outside of a missal used in a service in early 16th century service in England might have looked like? Is there any reason to suppose it wouldn't just look like an early c16th book? I don't think there is, but someone asked & now I'm doubting myself

Apparently, the mss department at the British Library told this morning's reader that they should visit me instead of them because of their ongoing catalogue problems. I wonder who it was, because that was quite random directing?

Going to the theatre, and trying to time my journey hither to arrive just on time to see the people I'm going with, but not to have to make small talk. It's a knife-edge timing issue.

A tedious and petty reminder that those of us on district heat networks do not get the price cap. I paid Β£2000 for my heating and hot water last year. One person, and I hardly ever turn the radiators on.

Communal hot water was turned off for works yesterday afternoon and it seems they forgot to turn it back on again. I discovered this by getting in to the bath.

First rehearsal of the year for this. Usually the audience has to pay for tickets, but this year it's free for some reason. Get a ticket and you might get to see me fall off the stage, like I did last year.

My phone is dying and I hate choosing new tech. The descriptions never tell me the stuff I care about: does it photograph text well, will it match my handbag, can I make it last 5 years at least.
