I don't think they... Really need to? That's posed as a question because in most cases, my characters either can't reproduce, don't want to, and don't have to worry about cross-contamination. There are some questions about whether the sex is "safe" aka free from injury, however... Lol

Depends on the OC, But Halley at least is Bilingual. She speaks the common tongue, and also the language of her hometown region. One of the perks of having parents from two different regions I suppose. Jasmine probably knows 3 languages, and I have a species that can easily learn 10+.

I went down a rabbit hole of birds talking and now I've got 10 hours of watching parrots and ravens speak, and followed two new accounts. It's hard to write when you just wanna watch cute birds be cute, but at least I'm learning a lot.

a WIP of Halley's reference, this is just the sketch phase (technically) and i wanted to dial down on her skin tone/markings. I plan to dress her eventually as well, once she's finalized. I'm very happy with its direction, but finding the time to finish(or share) it has been daunting.
