Over the last day I've seen many videos of Filipinos protesting against corruption (within flooding projects) in the Philippines. Every time I see these videos, I feel emotional. I am so proud to see Filipinos participating. But also sad because of seeing years of corruption and injustice.

There’s also the fact that some other survivors process their trauma through that kind of art. It’s often a way to take power over the situation back and gain some kind of peace about what was done to them. Who are you, I, or anybody to tell them that their way of coping is wrong?

The best way to protect me and people like me is to keep fictional noncon allowed, but to require it to be tagged so anybody who wants to avoid it can do so extremely easily. This TOS change benefits nobody except advertisers; It hurts everybody else.

Make no mistake; If noncon is banned entirely, it’s still going to be posted. It just won’t be tagged as such, which will force me, a survivor, to see things that trigger me. This TOS change is anti survivor.

tagging/labeling requires trust. If using proper tagging and labeling ends up inviting harassment and bans, then yeah, no amount of finger wagging is going to convince people to do it
