As Chanukah is ending for this year, I am thinking about its origin story. The Maccabees regained control of the Temple and cleansed it of all the defilements. Hopefully someday soon we will cleanse our monuments and official buildings of all the ways in which they have been defiled by this regime.

This is what I have feared. That all the talk from this administration about "elite" "liberal" "DEI" schools would inspire violence towards them, and create this image that they are a threat.
