2. Countries that have ID cards - like the whole of Europe - still have the same irregular migration problem (you may have heard!!!) & in fact the UK has the lowest share of its economy estimated as irregular economy in Europe so if it fixes the issue WHY DIDNT IT FIX IT THERE?

The West will lay claim to the commodifiable aspects of our culture, but the violence between metropole and colony persists. The extractivism persists. The relegation of non-Westerners to second-class citizens, IF THAT, persists. Calling the aftermath of imperialism "multicultural" is propaganda.

The argument ends up being between nativist xenophobia and neoliberal exploitation of the non-West, with 'immigrants' reduced to tokens in arguments between those who hold us responsible for the decay of their utopia, set against those who consider us a valuable resource to mine.

To me it just feels like a stupid game meant to rehabilitate the image of the West and whitewash the blood it's founded on, and if we do not acquiesce to serving this purpose then we are decried as allied with fascists and nationalists who want to eradicate us. It's bullshit.
