From the FT: “Unemployed Americans are taking longer to find new jobs than at any point in the past four years as muted hiring deepens concerns about the labour market. It now takes an average of more than 11 weeks for an unemployed person in the US to find a new job, the longest since 2021… 1 of 2

“Christians” worship a brown-skinned foreigner; who was a refugee in hiding as a child; commanded His true followers to welcome the stranger; and was later the victim of state violence. This part matters just a bit.

Been thinking a lot lately about something I read recently. The correlation between far right authoritarian views and a lack of capacity for empathy. - Being horrible to people - Only caring about an issue when it finally affects you

I deleted TikTok back when the Oracle purchase was announced but if you've still got it, you GOTTA dump it. Especially for trans folks. It straight up says in the new TOS that they--Oracle, the company that has active ties to the Trump admin--are monitoring and documenting trans and NB users.

Republicans have told us for decades we need unlimited guns under the 2nd Amendment for days exactly like today. But when today came, they called the unarmed woman murdered by an authoritarian government a terrorist instead of taking up arms against her killers. Remember it.
