"erm..... we can't control the whole fandom." maybe not. but you CAN call out harassment when you see it. kick harassers out of fan communities and discord servers. report them to convention staff, too. don't just shrug and say "some fans are just crazy." that's a defeatist attitude.

I'm not yet caught up on TADC but it's a shame to hear the fandom is harassing Gooseworx. The entire point of making indie animation is making the show that you yourself want to create. Creators don't owe fans any specific plot points or character dynamics. Don't have to like it, but don't be rude.

Requiring a face scan for any website is so silly. I made the mistake of trying to see what Roblox was all about, which required a face scan, and as a 33-year-old with baby face (good ol' Ehlers-Danlos) I got thrown into the kid category and had to provide them an ID to get OUT of children's spaces.

All of this trying to make the internet "child friendly" stuff is goofy, the internet existed when I was a child and I never ran into anything bad as I was not handed internet access willy nilly 24/7. What children are doing on the internet is the parents problem, not ours. Stop raising iPad kids.

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

Unfortunately, due to getting very sick for a bit in the middle of animating this, it does not look like I'm going to be releasing this Vamps' Scamps short on indie animation day as I'd announced. Release date now: To Be Determined But regardless, I'm excited for everyone to finally see it!

Can't say it enough, if you are going to build ANYTHING, you are going to be criticized much more than you will be praised. Do not be deterred. Build what you want to exist. Find your people and seek their counsel. Keep it moving.
