The thing (one of the things) I find hardest to get my head about is the idea that a change of leader might stop the right wing press from leading the populace into believing Labour government is ruining their lives. The right-wing media’s relentless touting of the name of Wes Streeting as a potential successor to Starmer – while omitting to mention his connection with Mandelson – tells me that it wants Streeting as PM because it knows Streeting will be unpopular with the electorate and bad for Labour.

Rather bizarre to imagine that Wes Streeting might be more attractive to voters than Starmer. I am mother to four adult left leaning voters and they all detest him. I think this stupidity is going to be costly to Labour. Such a shame. Such a waste.
