'The Landing in Summer.' Mary Dawson Elwell emerged on the British art scene as a painter of interiors, or more strictly, 'portrait interiors,' of her Yorkshire home in the 1930s. Her watchwords are stillness, silence, containment, privacy, meditation, illumination.

The footage of the aftermath of the assassination of these brave journalists is too graphic to share here. But the intention of Israel is clear - kill the few, last surviving reporters and secure a blackout for what comes next. The completion of the genocide.

Can't wait for us to finally encounter aliens and discover they are totally obsessed with something completely stupid. Like, they are searching the whole galaxy for red things, or they worship sausages. No matter how advanced and wise, there will be something dumb they can't stop doing

'New York from The Shelton.' (1926) Like Christopher Nevinson before him Garnet Wolseley believed New York, specifically Manhattan epitomised the enthusiasm for a modern world defined by speed and mechanisation. Georgia O'Keeffe lived at The Shelton from 1925 to 1929.

Chiswick Park Underground station, one of a set of inter-war stations designed by Charles Holden. The idea with the towers was that people could see from a distance where the station was. Probably all a bit to built up for that now

'Snowy Landscape,' (1904)Â by Cuno Amiet is four metres square and astonishing for the huge area given to a range of subtle, delicate whites, which set off the dark spot of a tiny lone skier. Amiet, a pupil of Fernand Hodler, is undeservedly little known outside his native Switzerland
