I did pull a “get in loser, we’re seeing the Chainsaw Man movie” on my mom and she did enjoy it without any previous knowledge of the series. (She’s been an occasional anime watcher since Star Blazers though.)

It turns out you don't need to adapt anime into live-action! You can just release the anime, and then people will go see it because it's good.

Ok it was worth the extra drive. I think it nailed the manga pretty well this time and made for a solid movie experience.
