There are about 27 million apartments in 5+ unit buildings in the United States. Housing is expensive because we do not have enough homes in the places people want to live, not because Blackstone owns less than 1% of the apartment market.

I do not care who the landlords are or whether or not they make a profit, so long as tenants have decent homes at prices they can afford in the places they want to live.
