One of my neighborhood council members is running for State Senate on the most left nimby platform that I would’ve hoped Mamdanism would’ve killed by now, just straight up vacancy truther theory of housing. LA county has 3.7 million units, 200k vacancies is barely 5%.

It’s really infuriating to see Bass spiking the ball on the D line opening as this is where she is working hardest to block SB79. She should feel some shame about being anti transit and pro segregation, but I don’t think she has any. Let’s give her some time in retirement to reflect on it.

The new pump track in Garvanza/Highland Park (LA’s first!) adjacent is great. I’m not even sure if it’s officially open, the drinking fountains don’t even work yet, but it’s a huge hit. There’s such a big demand for safe places to big and skate.
