One downside to playing big game releases a couple years late is I always end up with some level of spoilers eventually. I know a big character spoiler in my current game and have spent the entire time side eyeing them and going, "Is this is? Is this the moment it happens?"

After my list of injuries and health issues, I went on my first hike in 3 or 4 years. Went about as well as one would expect, though surprisingly my cardio or legs weren't the issue. It was my lower back. Low back got me SO close to turning around a few times.

I'll be honest, I don't want Star Trek Year One, Legacy, or United. The current generation of new Trek has leaned VERY heavily into preexisting Trek stuff. Discovery was probably the most original, and it still had Michael be Spock's sister and a season of Pike. Time to boldly do something new

2 serious episodes in a row? Are you alright, Strange New Worlds? Seriously loved this episode though. While I dont feel like the show is as consistently great as S1 was, it can still produce absolute bangers when it wants to.

Strange New Worlds has always done a good job of shaking up episode tone & genre week to week, but it's been pretty interesting to note that since early S2 they've been alternating darker, more serious eps & lighter, sometimes borderline silly eps (if you count the Hegemony 2-parter as a single ep)

Finished Expedition 33 tonight. Very good chance it might be my favorite game ever. If there's one small grumble, it's that it is so easy to get overpowered if you stray from the story path too much. The combat is so satisfying, and I rarely got to engage with it after about the halfway mark.

Well, damn. Accidentally nuked Expedition 33's hardest boss. I gave myself permission to try a nuke build if I didn't make meaningful progress in parrying him by Sunday evening. I only wanted to one-shot his first phase to save a little time, but my tweaking went a little too far.

In one of my rare wins this year, I've been released from cardiac rehab 2 months early. Still don't want me working out at full capacity until the cardiology followup, but I at least don't have to waste evenings and weekends making up work hours anymore.
