I miss having a piano in the house. I was never a great player, but one of my immense pleasures was teaching myself pieces by ear, both to play and transcribe. Just heard Saint-Saëns’s Le Coucou au Fond des Bois and it conjured ghosts of ancient muscle memory, and I wanted to try playing it again.
