Spending time reading the book "Art as therapy" puts a lot of words on thoughts and feelings I've already had. It's a great book for anyone who desires a perspective on art analysis that isn't snobby or high-brow.

This is very similar to the stray my girlfriend takes care of aptly named "Orange". Stray cats can gain trust in certain people given enough time and patience. Giving them a safe shelter with food is important to both create and maintain that trust.

In the end this is the goal of politics like this. In a society that views feminity through the lense of a straight cis white woman, BIPOC people will always be the first to not fit the mold. Passing white trans women will not be the first to be ousted by these policies.

We're now at a day and age where we must stand, not give a single inch, for any reason. Don't excuse yout elected officials for doing the bare minimum. Don't defend their actions simply since they voted for ONE thing you agreed on. Politicians are not your friends, they serve you, not the other way.

There is something magical about the action of one showing more courage than the action of the many people who let this happen.
