NASA might have been the coolest organization on planet earth — a real life/larger than life organization that the smartest people in the world respected, kids dreamed their whole life of working for, & even Hollywood couldn’t make larger than it already was. So of course Trump ruined it in a year.

when i became a UBI advocate years ago, it was more of a theoretical thing to benefit marginalized and disabled folks. tho at this point, between robotics and ai, we're looking at very near term widespread layoffs, of entire sectors of the economy. it's becoming a bit urgent that we do something.

TEDx doesn’t want you to see this. My talk is finally online. But I’m fuming—they edited out any “problematic” content! There was waaaay more action, and even some nudity. So I’m posting what they cut. Enjoy, the check out the whole thing here:

This guy has campaigned on UBI for ten years now. He knew exactly what was coming, and had a rational way forward that would keep big companies in check and let everyone reap the benefits of AI. He was written off as a tech bro. 🤷♂️

As I continue to experiment with AI tools to help me write, they *are* becoming amazingly good. Astoundingly so. And people who say that they're terrible have no idea what they're talking about. But the thing I'm learning: they now are making me LESS efficient as a writer... (explanation below).

This is Dreams Burger. A fun holiday project between Guy Lewis and myself. As lot of A.I short films get lost in the visual sheen, we wanted to challenge ourselves to use the tools to build a twisty narrative. The result, we think, is weird, in a good way.

One thing the TikTok ban discourse has not included is that many TikTok creators privately do not like TikTok, which of course they’re not saying because none of us want it banned. It’s a brutal creative ecosystem that extracts from creators until they burnout and then they are replaced.

If you think only billionaires can control social media, You are absolutely wrong. Social media is completely dependent on its users. Think about why you do or did use FB, ThreadsTik tok or Twitter. It's because they have enough users. Take away all the "normies" and they all are worthless
