If you're fortunate enough to take two weeks of vacation annually for forty years, you'll accumulate 560 vacation days. The ratio is roughly 19:1 in favor of the mundane. So we get to a question worth sitting with: Do you actually like your average Monday?

There's something deeply amusing in an ironic sense about watching people who criticized U.S. COIN campaigns for lacking strategic coherence cheer on the Iran campaign, seemingly completely oblivious to the similar disconnect between tactical proficiency and political ends.
