Today is World Farm Animals Day. It’s a holiday that was created to draw attention to the inhumane treatment of farm animals throughout the agricultural industry. We are grateful every day to be able to provide a place where animals can be seen as individuals instead of products.

Today is the first day Animal Welfare Week, which happens every year October 3-9. To mark the day we’d love to show you this banner that hangs on the big barn here. It shows the average natural lifespan of some of our animals vs. how long they would’ve lived in an agricultural production setting.
