I went for a hike up the Jim Whittaker Wilderness Peak Trail at Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park yesterday. There were lots of moss-covered trees in this dense woodland. It was the kind of trail that made me slow down and take it in a little longer.

Some places invite you to stay a little longer. This bench was facing one of those quiet views where the water, the light, and the open space all seemed to slow things down. #PNWPhotography
