Thinking about the gift I have outside my front door, especially this time of year: my beautiful forest. The giant sword ferns, oregon grape, cedars, polypores, banana slugs, Pacific wrens, thousands of tiny baby maple seedlings, every shade of moss. And the owls, sleepily watching the ravens.

I cried watching this film especially as a late stage ovarian cancer survivor. It reminded me just how difficult treatment is but also how many wonderful people it takes too young.
