Every lab I've been in before my own had 'no headphones' and 'no music playing' rules. I HATED it, and I would always sneak (then corded) headphones through my clothes and under my hair so I could focus. No way I could set up a 384-well PCR without mistakes or without Disturbed blasting in my ears.
