I don't think I will ever be normal about Doctor Who. It just gets better and better with every episode. ππ

The Beans have released a Patreon only episode today, which consists of them taste testing supermarket tiramisu. The link between tiramisu and

is tenuous at best. 10/10. Would recommend ππ«

I'm very late to the Mythic Quest party, but my god, A Dark Quiet Death, is one of the most beautiful episodes of television I think I've ever seen.

It must feel so fucking good to be a cat in full loaf mode and tuck your little paws underneath yourself. Thatβs it, thatβs all I have to say.

David Lynchβs death feels like one of those vast losses that devours the timeline. Where do you begin? βLynchianβ is as significant a way to see the world as Orwellian or Kafkaesque

I loved David Lynch's work, especially the final Twin Peaks series, because it suggested strongly that the weird world, not the real world, is the true world.

Eraserhead was a trigger for my love of the surreal and strange. What a loss. π

Really enjoyed Inside No.9: The Party's Over. A lovely glimpse behind the scenes β€οΈ I'm still sad it's over, but I'm now looking forward to Stage / Fright even more.

My tour is on sale now and let's be honest, I need you, the sort of person who follows me on bsky to get the tickets flying out the door. Consider telling a friend, buying for a friend or tricking an enemy? ποΈ

I JUST SAW A KINGFISHER! I was crossing the bridge near my house, and he flew down to sit on the bank. He was very beautiful!

Someone needs to invent some kind of online calculator whereby we Brits can put in our recent healthcare appointments/meds/experiences and itβll calculate what it would cost on average in the USA. Just to hammer home how bloody lucky we are to have the NHS and how fiercely we need to protect it.

Hi! Are you doomscrolling? Try to take a small break when you can, you're going to need your energy for the main doomscroll of the day, and you'll need to be fresh and clearheaded for all those little mini-doomscrolls afterwards between then and the moment you lose consciousness there is only void.

I had a day trip out to East Riddleston Hall last week, and they had decorated some of the rooms with diyas and rangolis for Diwali. It was really lovely to see the usual info boards with the history of the house as well as boards explaining the festival.

Apparently it might snow next week. If it does, you can stay warm by glueing between four and eight freshly made cups of tea to the insides of your trousers.
