Some exciting publication news... The wonderful Mari Wiliam has just published a chapter on tattoos and Welsh identity inspired by a feasibility study I conducted on the topic five years ago whilst at Bangor. Her chapter (which graciously credits me too) is out now in the book Memory and Nation!

So I had to create an account with a Journal's submission platform to submit a draft, but the platform had no non-binary inclusive prefixes to select (and selecting one was mandatory). I flagged this and it was sorted within one work day (with apologies it needed fixing). That's how you do it folks

So the head of the UK EHRC just took a swipe at Gender Recognition Certificates. However, reading between the lines, this has clearly been deployed as a dog whilst. I think what she is really saying is 'trans people are too impractical for cisnormative societies to accept'... Fun fucking times.

So part of my PhD is to produce a list of recommendations for trans inclusion in Archaeology. 90% of this data has already been collected and the rest is already planned. In a few months, should the EHRC Guidance be made statutory, everything I'm planning to recommend will be made illegal...
