There's probably a middle ground; a bit of red-faced disaster can be enormously character building imo. It was for me! But that comes from the mistake itself being gently pointed out anyway. Some people just seem to get off on being a holier than thou arsehole

And sadly, there’s a reason we have to write some stuff we’re not particularly proud of. It keeps the lights on. I’ve done plenty of original reporting over the past year, 95%+ of it has gone largely unnoticed. TGS is just one of many examples of this.

I've worked with Josh before when I was at TG, and he's a damn good news editor, so I can tell you for free that he'd definately rather be doing something else with his days than being told to write sponcon. Genuinely no need to include his byline in story, do not care for this kind of dogpiling.
