Figured I'd be timely, and after sinking 20 hours into Pokopia, release an article that doesn't even mention the game. Instead, this month I explored a ROK hack designed by a competitive player.

Personal news: I'm leaving my Editor-at-large role at Eurogamer & Gamer Network as part of new cuts. I last year approached my move to Eurogamer & VG247's skeletonization with reluctance, but I ultimately greatly enjoyed giving EG a go. But now after 10yrs & in difficult conditions, it's time to go.

Tell you what, it's really nice to find out that a not insignificant number of people only care about disabled people when they're not actively being disabled. Really makes you feel good!

Once got flown out to Paris for 24 hours for a steering wheel peripheral. I'd assumed it was to have a hands-on experience with it. I was wrong. All I got to do was hold a prototype of the thing then that was it. Baffling use of my time

Inverse's Gaming section is being shut down as the company "divests" from gaming content. I'm out of a job along with my wonderful co-writers. I've put my heart and soul into this job for four years. Gonna need to take time to process, but I'm now completely open for work - and boy do I need it.

Inverse has decided to "divest from gaming content" so I'm out of a job again! This is almost certainly the end of my career in games media, and probably the end of my writing career. I'd love for that not to be the case, so I'd appreciate any leads but I'm honestly not hopeful for obvious reasons♥️

Openly wept several times during the Stranger Things finale. I am not immune to propaganda Messy, messy season, but the core emotion is done so well that it all just fades away at the end Also mark this down, Sadie Sink is going to be nominated for an Oscar within a decade
