Both are great as Batman! But both emphasize different facets of the Batman gestalt. Only Conroy has gotten to embody every dimension of Batman.

Today is the birthday of artist Bernard Krigstein (March 22, 1919-Jan. 8, 1990). He drew for EC Comics & Mad magazine, and illustrated books, magazines, & albums. Also a painter & teacher, he is best remembered in comics for Master Race, the 1955 EC Comics story about the horrors of the holocaust.

Wrath Of Khan is a masterpiece. I could probably lecture for an hour on this scene alone. Dialogue, performance, characterisation, direction, editing, music all interlock like cogs. Even in isolation this scene draws me right in, spinetingles. If STII isn't taught in film schools it should be.

Show somebody who absolutely rocks a hat and isn't Indiana Jones.

Do people who love the movie know IDW has an incredible line of comics that are deeply satisfying continuations of the comics which aside from the love interest’s name and job (but not look!) are the same thing as the movie? Like there’s a ton of Rocketeer gold.

RIP, Eric Overmyer. Wrote on The Wire. Co-created Treme. Created Bosch. One of the few writer/producers, both working with David Simon and on his own, who actually knew how to make the "every season of our show is a Novel For Television" structure work.
