I actually sorted my #MTG cards into boxes meant for Standard Pauper, with the cards I needed being the ones from sets in the PDCMagic era of Standard Pauper (9th Edition to Amonkhet). Managed to get two full DVD storage boxes worth of stuff, so that'll help me with this battle box idea.

Finding out that the people behind Banana Ball actually have stats tracked on their website that extend to every World Tour they've done is neat. As such, I put their league (of sorts) on the tier list around the same level as AAA since they have a huge mix of players from all levels in here.

After watching @kacey.me revisit Street Racing Syndicate, I am extremely glad I never bothered playing that one. Pretty sure I just went straight to Underground 2 and didn't bother playing SRS and it looks like I was right to do that.

I really love that this place won't let the technical advisor ever live down dipping his phone into a pool to "cool off", even if it comes at the cost of getting blocked by him. They'll eventually learn that chasing us off will result in them having no userbase and likely no job moving forward.

If wrestling companies decided they were done doing as many meet and greets as they normally do because of fan behavior and fans defending said behavior, I wouldn't blame them. Clearly, fans can't behave nor do they want to, so protect your talent by exposing them to as few fans as possible.

Really just all the kind words I've gotten for the projects I work on and being a calming presence around people. Seems being a calming presence has made it so celebrities I do meet and greets for are extremely comfortable around me, which is why I maintain as much respect as I can for them.

I've been seeing far too many people this week defending the actions of "fans" harassing talent during Mania week and it is absolutely deplorable. Once again, the IWC proves how little life experience the majority of them have. Just a shame they end up being louder than the actual adults out here.

If AEW is going in house with their merch stuff from now on, I wonder if that means we'll get more pins and patches and the like from them. Wrestling merch stores could use more pins and patches and stickers. Not just for my vest project, but just in general.

If you don't get that you shouldn't be bothering people in public unless you want someone to retaliate in a way you won't like, I don't know if you have the life experience to be speaking on this topic. It's common sense: Don't bother celebrities who don't want to be bothered.

Currently working on the 2025 version of the AAA team for the Blue Jays for Baseball Showdown, the Buffalo Bisons. Not sure how their lineup is gonna compare to Charlotte, but it should hopefully be somewhat close.

Baseball Showdown update: Minor league cards are now live on the Showdown Bot, meaning I can generate the 2025 Charlotte Knights. These were generated using the charts with the closest projected statline to what my adjustment formulas generated for the players.

Decided to try a new way of doing non-Driver cards to make use of the various rivalries in wrestling, sports, TV, video games, etc. First one is @commandersterling.bsky.social (who I really need to do a solo card of at some point) vs @kiddbanditpro.bsky.social . Love both of these lovely people.

More and more, I've felt like ESPN should just be disqualified from covering the NHL and stuff like this is why. I feel like ESPN in general has run out of usefulness, but if we have to keep them around, get them away from hockey. Let them cover a more predetermined sport like the NFL.

After doing all my research on PDCMagic decklists and how far back the Standard Pauper stuff they did goes, I have concluded that it looks like it starts at 9th Edition and ends at Amonkhet. Now time to build some decks for what I call "PDCMagic Block Pauper". Sorta like Premodern, I guess.

Tonight's project: Sorting out all my MPDC era Standard Pauper cards from the rest of my bulk. Gonna try and make as many of these Standard Pauper things as I can.

It's official: I'm making plans to go to WrestleCade 2026. Time to figure out who I want to see.

I found a spare Leva card to stand in for her AEW variant on track representation, so I'm taking the card I had originally for her and I'm gluing it to the vest. Already applied the card to the glue spot. Now I just need to wait for it to dry.

I've had to learn this the hard way when working on Race Day and Showdown. Instead of trying to please everyone, I just do what makes me happy and the end result is I have way more fun with the project.

With the Elayna Black stuff happening at WrestleCon this weekend, I wonder how all those Reddit users that labeled Mike Johnson's warning about fan behavior as "scare-mongering" are feeling right now. If they had any morals, they'd probably apologize for that take right now.

Outside of social media clips and listening to Denise's stream, I wasn't watching Mania. A much better use of my time was preserving Standard Pauper decks and figuring out other tabletop stuff, including more Carter Holt themed things. We're past 1300 Standard Pauper decks preserved.

MJ saying what I've been thinking about the discussion around the women's division in AEW for a while now. If we're gonna hold one big company to task, the other one should be held to that same standard. Not doing that might as well be billionaire hero worship and you don't want that.

If I find out that I'm going to WrestleCade 2026 tomorrow, I'm booking hotel immediately and buying my ticket on pay day. Hotel won't cost any money and ticket will be cheap, so it's just a matter of doing the meet and greet stuff.

The wrestling vest is halfway full after my latest TeePublic order. My goal is to fill it by WrestleCade 2026. There's a chance I'll be going to that, so I want to be able to wear the vest to the show.

Went back and watched clips of the Leafs' locker room cleanout and...... oh boy. If those faces aren't a sign the Leafs are being dragged kicking and screaming into a neverending rebuild, I don't know what is. Forget winning a Cup, this team will be lucky to make the playoffs again for a while.

People still trusting the staff at their word rather than thinking critically about what they say should probably read the postmortem quoted here. At this point, if you're unable to think critically about what the staff says, I don't know what to tell you other than good luck getting noticed.

It also doesn't help that wrestling as a genre isn't mainstream any longer and probably won't be for a long time yet. It's largely been a niche genre on the fringes of mainstream, but WWE acts like it can appeal to mainstream audiences when they just can't. AEW is smart not to push for that stuff.

Or maybe..... and hear me out on this one...... You can make the movies not cost copious amounts of money to see in theaters or make the theater experience worth the price being paid. Even the nicest theaters just end up not being worth it for me, much as I'd like to see new movies sooner.

.....You know, I think the Rangers and Knicks might be screwed with this guy as owner. I hate to say it, but as long as he owns these teams, they don't deserve any success whatsoever. I also won't be seeing these teams in person as long as I live, nor will I add either to my pin vests.
