The country is rightly impatient for change and for government that serves their interests above all else. Our job is simple: stay focused, get on with the hard work of delivering instead of looking inwardly at ourselves and remember the people who we serve.

Last week, we voted to lift 450,000 children out of poverty and selected 500 schools to get free breakfast clubs. That's the change we should be focused on, that's the change voters want, and it's only possible because Keir Starmer secured a five year mandate. He must see it through.

Labour is lifting half a million children out of poverty across the UK, including 95,000 in Scotland. Meanwhile, Nigel Farage is happy to keep kids in poverty to take 5p off of a pint. Child poverty is a scourge on our society and this Labour government is confronting it.
