I have a tradition of watching old movies on Thanksgiving. By old movie, I myself mean pre-1960 though for some of you it might mean pre-2000. As a kid we watched The Wizard of Oz, but I've got that one memorized. I was thinking of watching Murder, My Sweet (AKA Farewell, My Lovely), 1944.

They didn't get to choose their deployment out of state. That's not how it works. They followed their orders and showed up. Maybe they were murdered by a madman. Maybe it was a political thing.
