I can’t believe I’ve made it this far. Had a few of my hardest moments last Friday and Saturday where I had a strong urge to pull but I was able to recognize them easily and back off. I don’t think I’ve gone this long since I grew my beard back out after quitting a food service job 12 years ago.

Someday I'll just stop hitting "Yes, I want to view these files later" when I close the recovered files pane in Excel and let them disappear into the ether instead of telling myself there's probably something important there for me to save and it's going to feel so good.

I got just the right amount of not enough sleep that most of my thoughts feel like jello: appearing to have a structure but easily twisting, distorting, and slipping away at the slightest attempt to get a grasp on them.

I’ve been playing the Pokémon TCG for almost two years now, slowly getting better. One of my goals was to find a deck that I could perform well with that centered around Flareon, my favorite Pokémon. Proud to say I just took this Flareon list to 3rd place at a League Cup, meeting my goal in my eyes.

Easy fix:

I swear I can feel my iPhone’s keyboard getting worse in real time.

I just love Pokémon so much. Yeah some of the games could be better but I'll also freely admit that I do not care. Pokémon is Pokémon, good or bad. Let me get some cute little guys and explore a world, whatever that looks like, and I'll be happy.

As of this morning I’ve been clean from plucking hairs out of my face for a week. Before now I hadn’t gone more than a few days without an episode in over ten years, getting much worse as I started working from home in 2020. It frequently left me with embarrassing bald spots that I hated seeing.

It's interesting to see which Pokémon with multiple forms got more than one logo and which didn't. Where are the Rotom forms? Zen Mode Darmanitans? Seasonal Deerling and Sawsbuck? Vivillon Patterns? School Form Wishiwashi? Strange of them to include some for changes but not others.

Hockey got me so sports-pilled that I willingly woke up at 5:30 am on a Sunday to watch the Olympic gold medal game.

The fact that they don't means that the IOC is right to only trust bisexual athletes with guns.

I liked The Paper the first time, but it’s outstanding on a rewatch. Domhnall Gleeson’s portrayal of Ned’s goody-two-shoes, wide-eyed romanticism about print journalism coupled with his near-constant insecurity about making it work is such a compelling contrast. Still needed a longer season though.

Circling back around to The Paper after watching it the first time led me to rewatch The Office. Immediately after watching The Office it’s clear that The Paper is a solid sitcom that needs room to grow. The streaming era has largely hindered sitcoms by not allowing for full 20-episode seasons.

You ever think about trying to cut your own hair for the first time on a whim while your wife is working late? Probably don’t do it.
