Your Prime Day reminder that half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food & housing costs. A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP ā which was gutted last year. If Bezos can spend $500M on a yacht, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

Writers (and publishers!) please grasp this fundamental fact: A press should have two accounts. 1. Author royalties. These are to be spent on NOTHING. It's the author's money. 2. Publisher profits. This is what is used to run the press and pay the publisher. These stream never cross!
