Fantasy author and RPG writer Jean Rabe has passed away. She was known for her work at TSR and the RPGA, but she also worked on WEG’s Star Wars d6 RPG. In Galaxy Guide 12, Rabe wrote up several alien species including cover model Ephant Mon’s Chevin (with other aliens by @infinata.bsky.social).

A pretty crazy and productive 2025 at FANGORIA. Here is everything I worked on that got printed. We have a great team and it’s been a joy to work with everyone at Fango. Pretty wild stuff and excited for what new projects I get to work on in 2026.

Exciting way to go into the holidays: I received a copy of my first ever “official“ Tolkien-adjacent work … I worked with MUTANT to edit the enormous booklet accompanying their incredible phyiscal release of THE RINGS OF POWER Season 2 soundtrack. Gorgeous work, as always, and a real honor.

In 2001, I picked up STAR WARS INSIDER #54 in a grocery store, and it changed my life. In 2021, I picked up STAR WARS INSIDER #202, which had my first published piece inside, and it changed my life. All in all, I got to write 35 (!) articles for my favorite magazine, and I will always be grateful.
