I hate having to do the "look, they're normal just like us" post, but sometimes you have to do that when American propaganda tries to convince everyone Iranians are "animals".

America should be labeled a pariah state for what it pulled yesterday and I'm not joking. Like I'm talking trade sanctions. Tourist Entry denials. This is a rogue nation with no regard for international stability or human life.

Anti-Trans bigotry is such a strong force because Trans people represent a movement towards bodily autonomy that would violate everything the fascists hold dear. The fascists don't want anyone to get to make choices about their bodies. Trans healthcare is a slap in the face to patriarchal control.

Let me say this plainly: Iranian children have as much of a right to live and thrive as American children. Their babies MUST be as precious to me as my 6 niblings and my baby grandnib are IF I want them to have a future. If I want a future for my kin AND humanity, I MUST act like it. So must you.

Called my representative. It was extremely easy and the sentiment was shared by the person taking the call. Just say that you're concerned about what our president is saying this morning and that you want your representative to push on the 25th amendment to remove him from office. Its very simple

Called my rep and said "I am concerned about the President's posts about committing genocide and would like my reps to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office" and the guy was like "okay I'll pass that along, is there anything else" and I was like no that's pretty much it
