I let my D&D Strixhaven party keep their frog from the frog racing arc back when they were level 1. Now they are level four and after succeeding a DC 15 Arcana check to use a scroll, the party now has an awakened frog they named Kimchi, and they love him so much.

My favorite is the zombie-based CPU. Each zombie is a switch. By raising a right or left arm, it is on or off. Each zombie will turn on or off based on the status of designated zombies. 3 zombies make a NAND gate. And all boolean operations can be built from NAND. Given enough zombies...

One of my D&D players told me he wanted to make a peasant railgun. Look... peasant railgun is fun and all, but if you somehow have a perfectly obedient army of 1000 peasants, you don't need a peasant railgun, you can literally just have them swarm anything. 1000 is an unfathomably large number.
