This wouldn't just ban federal funds from directly funding gender-affirming care, it would be an effective ban on ANY facility that receives ANY federal funding for ANY reason from providing gender-affirming care. It's a de-facto ban. Call your congressmen.

So much of media is run by Trump's accomplices, with directives to ignore or minimize statements, posts, warnings, fact-checks from even high-profile Dems. It's time for creativity and clamor, time for those Dems to push back in brazen ways the media can't ignore.

This would also be illegal. Trump cannot criminalize conduct via executive order, and he certainly can't reinterpret state criminal law. This is intended most of all to terrify people. If you are a teacher, consult an attorney for the laws in your state. But don't comply in advance.
