One of the benefits of the Atmosphere is even if you haven't thought through how to moderate certain content, you can implement tools other experts have already built. Consider adding @moderation.medsky.network's misinformation tools to your stack & help keep the Atmosphere healthy and safe.

As an important reminder, medical misinformation is dangerous and has serious impacts on public health & community safety. If you see misinformation, don't engage with it, screenshot it, or share it. Just block and report it to @moderation.medsky.network and @moderation.bsky.app.

Medsky will soon be offering accounts the ability to migrate to a separate service that is run through @blackskyweb.xyz's Acorn service. You'll still be able to log in to Bluesky with a .medsky.network account, but you'll also be able to log in to platform specifically built for healthcare workers.

Very excited to announce that @medsky.network & @latinsky.social will soon be getting their own platforms using @blackskyweb.xyz’s Acorn system! Get ready for a corner of the Atmosphere that believes in medical science & support for indigenous/immigrant communities. More details to come.

We're aware of a technical issue that is resulting in accounts with a .medsky.social handle appearing invalid. This is due to issues with the service provider, @handles.club. We're working on a solution and will provide updates in the next few hours.

The @mod.medsky.network service performed an update on our labeling databases this afternoon. Some accounts may have received labels that they previously had and later removed due to label "sticking". If this occurred to you, please go to the label on your account homepage and select "APPEAL".

Today, one of our fellow healthcare workers was brutally murdered by ICE Agents in Minneapolis. Alex Pretti was an ICU nurse, beloved by his colleagues, & described by family as a "kindhearted soul" who "wanted to make a difference in this world." May we continue to help others in his memory. RIP
